“ The food here is amazing. Loved the unpretentious atmosphere and food. You have to believe in your brisket to serve it without sauce and they deliver. Moist, Smokey, and flavorful in a green fresh basil way not exactly spicy tho. I came early on a Saturday and I feel if a little wood smoke was wafting through the air they might get more foot traffic. Catfish nuggets are a must try as well. ”

“ Been to many BBQ place mostly in WNY area. We were In Denver this week decided to try The Jerk Pit Smokehouse. It doesn't look like much at first but the food was excellent! Tried the brisket with their fried okra, both were excellent actually the best I've ever had. Would highly recommend trying this place out. Scott the owner personally took care of us and was very personable and provided awesome service. ”

“ We were out of town travelers looking for a good lunch while we were in the area. We stumbled across this restaurant and it was honestly the good smells that brought us in. We happen to be the only people there at that time! Service was great, enjoyed eating outside, and the food was very delicious. I wanted to try the catfish po boy for the unique opportunity that I don’t find very often. It was pretty good, I think next time I might try one of the more classic barbecue options instead. Kinda wish I had asked for more tartar sauce, I didn’t feel like they put enough on there. Also, both dishes were a little bit spicier than I had anticipated for someone who is sensitive to spice, so keep that in mind when you’re ordering. The coleslaw they make is absolutely to die for and then I ended up putting it on my sandwich. a little pricey but we had a good time! ”

“ We stopped in for a late lunch, and let me just say, what a treat! The atmosphere was upbeat and welcoming, and we even got to meet the owner/chef, who was incredibly friendly. Now, the food. WOW. We ordered the Jerk Wings and the Smoked Jerk Chicken dinner plate with southern collard greens and Louisiana rice and beans. From the very first bite, you could taste that deep smokiness woven right into the chicken. The seasoning was perfectly balanced, bold enough to stand out, but not overwhelming. The heat didn’t smack you in the face, it crept in slowly, in the best way possible. And the skin on the chicken? Perfection. The southern collard greens. Hands down, 100/10. I honestly could’ve ordered an extra side of them and been perfectly happy. (Was also my first time having collard greens) All in all, the food & vibes made it an awesome experience. We’ll definitely be back when we're in town! ”
